CDM co-ordination
The CDM Co-coordinator controls and manages health and safety on behalf of the Client throughout the project.
The service we provide includes notifying the HSE of the project and advising the Client on the competence of all parties and co-ordination of all activities from a health and safety perspective.

We also prepare a Pre-tender Information Pack identifying key health and safety issues as well as advising the Client as to whether the Health and Safety Plan prepared by the principal contractor is satisfactory and that construction may therefore start.
As part of our comprehensive service we monitor and co-ordinate the actions of all other parties at design team and site meetings and carry out site safety audits. We expect to produce the health and safety file as well.

PRP regularly provide a full project management service including feasibility studies, budget costings and liaison with all statutory authorities.

As part of this service we also prepare the Bill of Quantities, produce contract documents, obtain tenders and appoint a contractor. Management of the construction work including cost control, certification for payment, controlling progress and the programme on site are combined with settling the Contractor’s final account.
party wall surveying
The Party Wall Act provides owners of building with certain rights and obligations to adjacent owners and occupiers in relation to party walls and similar structures. It lays down strict procedures for the resolution of disputes and provides for the appointment of one or more surveyors with wide powers to resolve any problems.

PRP have wide experience in interpreting the Act and in acting as Party Wall Surveyors under the Act. We will serve the necessary notices on adjacent building owners and tenants, carry out condition surveys and deal with any counter notices or disputes arising.
We can act as joint surveyor where required and as third surveyor when two other surveyors cannot agree on resolution of a dispute. PRP’s approach keeps disputes to a minimum.

PRP carry out many of the services associated with building surveying including condition surveys, and asbestos surveys together with development appraisals, contaminated land assessments. We also carry out historical building assessments along with the construction, design and management of repairs and maintenance works.

structural inspections
PRP undertake structural inspections and provide structural engineers reports for specific structural defects, or problems identified within buildings or other structures.

Most commonly, an engineers report will be required by a mortgage lender following the identification of potential structural problem within a valuation or homebuyers report on a residential property, such as cracking in a wall, or distortion in the roof structure.
PRP also undertake inspections for householders in the course of maintenance of their property and for vendors who may be concerned about the presence of the possible structural defects, which they wish to deal with, prior to marketing their property.
PRP will undertake a visual inspection of the defect, taking into account as much of the associated structure as possible, and make an assessment of the cause. A written report on the inspection will be provided incorporation recommendations for remedial works, or further investigations, if appropriate.

PRP have a wide and comprehensive experience in surveying all types of buildings and structures. These include small terraced houses to large listed
buildings as well as multi-storey and low rise commercial properties, retail, industrial, office and agricultural buildings.

We also carry out surveys on other structures such as roads, drains, sewers, embankments, silos, bunkers and conveyors and underground structures. Our surveys are carried out by Chartered Structural Engineers who will produce a comprehensive report to meet your needs in a format that is acceptable to all financial institutions.
