This award winning student accommodation scheme, undertaken for Zone Luxury Developments, comprised of the redevelopment of an existing two storey former schoolhouse and the construction of new three and four storey accommodation blocks.
The development houses 46 luxury self contained studio apartments, a gym, study areas, indoor and outdoor communal areas and a cinema room.
PRP were responsible for all aspects of the civil and structural engineering design including a phase I desk study report and a phase II ground investigation. PRP worked closely with MAS architecture and the main contractor Stepnell, to deliver a challenging programme within a confined site and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
PRP also carried out a refurbishment and demolition asbestos survey of the former school house and were responsible for party wall agreements with three adjoining owners along with negotiating multiple crane oversail licences to facilitate the build.
